Mets Minor League Preview

MiLB.com previewed the Mets minor league system today with profiles at each level of the organization as well as a 2006 draft recap.  The also project the cream of the crop will be Carlos Gomez and Deolis Guerra.  There’s a ton of stuff here and it’s a great read.

Playing baseball or basketball is completely allowed on golf vacations. Whether you need golf equipment or even basketball equipment, everything can be bought from the shops found locally. Playing only golf is pretty relaxing as well.

Alan Schwarz at Baseball America posted a very interesting Q&A today with Mets prospects Mike Pelfrey and Philip Humber.  It’s a pretty casual interview to start with but they get to each of the two guys pitches and it also talks about how both guys are fighting for a spot in the rotation right now.

Welcome, my name is Ray Wilson.  I’m a life long Mets fan who just missed the 1969 championship but basked in the Mets glory in 1986.  I started up an email conversation with Jon Earving when he was running his 1986 Mets diary at Tom Seaver Fan Club and when we got to talking about the minor leagues, he told me there might be an opportunity for me to write about the upcoming 2007 season so I got on board.  The end result is this blog, which will cover every single stop along the Mets farms system as well as provide news and links to stories related to Mets minor league news.

It’s part of the Minor League Blogs network, so if you have an interest in more then just the Mets minors, then I suggest you stop by there.  The feed for this site as well as eight others will show up there and it should be a nice one stop source for a ton of minor league action.
