Yeah, it was only eight innings because the game called because of rain, but three hits? That’s all the Mets managed in their 5-1 loss to Trenton and Corey Coles doubled and scored the run for the Mets.
Jose Sanchez took the loss and he fell to 2-5 on the season. He gave up three unearned runs on five hits and three walks with one strikeout in four innings of work.
Michael Devaney improved to 4-7 on the season with a solid outing in the Mets’ 3-1 win over Trenton. He gave up one hit and one walk with five strikeouts in six shutout innings.
Caleb Stewart went two for four with an RBI. Rafael Arroyo doubled and he scored a run in the win.
Marcos Carvajal improved to 4-6 on the season with a really nice start in the Mets 3-1 win over the Defenders. He gave up one unearned run on four hits and a walk with one strikeout.
Mike Carp was the hitting star in the win. He went two for four with a double and he drove in all three Mets runs.
Jose Sanchez improved to 2-4 on the season with a nice start in the Mets 4-2 win over the Defenders. He gave up two runs on four hits and four walks with five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Brett Harper had a nice day at the plate. He went three for four with a double and two RBIs. Caleb Stewart went one for one with three walks and two runs.
Robert Parnell and Binghamton were outdueled by the Defenders in a 2-1 loss. In the game, a nice start by Robert Parnell went to waste. He gave up just one run on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in six innings.
Mark Kiger doubled twice and he scored the only run for the Mets. Corey Coles went three for five.
