The Cyclones took care of Aberdeen 9-7 and they were helped out by some rain because the game was called an inning short. J.R. Voyles had a nice day at the plate and he went two for four with a double, four RBIs and a run. Matthew Bouchard was a perfect three for three with two doubles and three runs.
None of the Cyclones pitchers threw particularly well. Josh Appell picked up the win despite giving up a tying run in the top of the eighth.
The Brooklyn Cyclones had a tough time at the plate in their 5-1 loss to Hudson Valley. Will Vogl was the only Cyclone to reach base twice with a hit and a walk and he also scored the Cyclone’s only run.
J.J. Leaper took the loss in a mediocre start. He gave up three runs on six hits with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Nicholas Carr was extremely impressive in the Cyclones 3-0 win over Hudson Valley. He gave up two hits and a walk with ten strikeouts in six shutout innings.
Jeffrey Voyles went two for five with a double and an RBI. Raul Reyes hit a solo homer in the win.
Jeffrey Voyles was one of the hitting stars in the Cyclones 6-1 win over Staten Island. He went two for three with two doubles, two runs and an RBI. Lucas Duda had a nice game as well and he went two for four with two doubles and a run.
Dylan Owen picked up the win. He threw two shutout innings of relief.
Nicholas Waechter had a tough time in the Cyclones first off the season. He gave up four runs on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
Will Vogl was the hitting star in the 6-3 loss. He went two for four with two RBIs.
The Cyclones took care of Staten Island in their home opener in a 5-1 win. Jeffrey Voyles had the big hit of the game with a big three run homerun that put the Cyclones on the board in the sixth inning.
Joseph Leaper threw five shutout innings in his start. Edgar Ramirez threw two shutout innings and he picked up the win.
