The Zephyrs failed to sweep Nashville as they blew a one run lead in the ninth and then lost in the tenth. Ivan Maldanado gave up they tying run in the ninth and then Ryan Cullen took the loss when he gave up the losing run in the tenth.
Chip Ambres put the Zephyrs on the board in the first inning with a big three run homer in the 6-5 loss. Jesus Feliciano went three for five and he scored a run.
The Zephyrs’ hitters got nothing in a 4-0 loss to Omaha. Fernando Tatis doubled and Chip Ambres walked twice but that was pretty much the extent of the hitting outside of a few singles.
Mike Pelfrey dropped to 2-2 on the season with a tough start. He gave up four runs on eight hits and one walk with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Mike DiFelice was the hitting star in the Zephyr’s 9-5 win over Omaha. He went two for three with a double, three RBIs and a run. Jake Gautreau made a big contribution with a three run homer and Chip Ambres went three for four with two runs scored.
Tim McNab picked up the win with three solid innings of relief. He gave up one run on three hits and a walk with one strikeout and the win pushes his record to 1-0 on the season.
Adam Bostick dropped to 2-5 on the season with a tough start in the Zephyrs’ 9-6 loss to Iowa. He gave up nine runs (seven earned) on nine hits and a walk with three strikeouts in four innings.
Chip Ambres had a career day at the plate in the loss. He went five for five with a double, two homeruns, four RBIs and three runs. Andy Tracy singled, drew two walks and scored three times.
The Zephyrs got it all in their 11-1 win over Salt Lake. Jason Vargas threw a gem of a game and he gave up just one run on three hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. The win pushes his record to 4-3 on the season.
Ricky Ledee had a big day at the plate. He went three for five with a double, a homerun, five RBIs and two runs. Sandy Alomar, Jr. went two for four with a three run homer and Chip Ambres went two for four with an RBI and three runs.
Chan Ho Park improved to 4-4 on the season with a nice start in the Zephyrs 6-2 win over Salt Lake. Park gave up one run on five hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings.
Chip Ambres went two for three with a solo homerun. Fernando Tatis went two for four with a solo homerun.
Adam Bostick had a tough time in the Zephyrs’ 8-5 loss to Colorado Springs. He gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in just 2 2/3 innings.

Mike Pelfrey was shelled in the Zephyr’s 8-3 loss to Omaha. He gave up five runs (four earned) on seven hits and two walks with a strikeout in 3 2/3 innings. The loss drops him to 0-1 on the season since getting sent back down to the minors.

Chan Ho Park was hit very hard in the Zephyrs’ 8-6 loss to Omaha. He gave up seven runs on fourteen hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

This was a crazy game. The Zephyrs gave up a three run lead in the ninth, went down by two in the eleventh and then rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eleventh to win it 8-7. Chip Ambres was one of the hitting stars. He went two for six with two RBIs and a run.
Chan Ho Park threw six shutout innings to start the game but then three consecutive relievers all gave up runs. Eddie Camacho picked up the win despite giving up the two runs in the eleventh.
Mike DeFelice had one of the Zephyrs’ three hits and he drove in the lone run in a 5-1 loss. Chip Ambres had the only extra base hit of the game and he scored the lone run.
Philip Humber had a tough start and he took the loss. He gave up five runs on six hits and three walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
Jose Santiago was roughed up by Memphis in the Zephyrs 7-3 loss. He gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
The Zephyrs managed just five hits. Carlos Gomez’s tripled and drove in a run while Chip Ambres hit a solo homerun.
Vero Beach had just scored three runs in the top of the eighth to tie the game 7-7 when Sean Henry came up big with the only St. Lucie homerun of the game. It was only a solo shot, but it ended up being the difference in the win. Dustin Martin also had a nice game at the plate. He went two for five with a triple, two RBIs and a run.

Philip Humber gave up just one run on one hit and three walks with four strikeouts in five innings today. He picked up the win with some help from Jose Santiago, who threw three shutout innings in relief.
Anderson Hernandez drove in two runs and Ruben Gotay hit a solo homerun in the 4-1 win. Chip Ambres also had a good game. He went two for four with a double and a run.
