Things were looking pretty good for the Cyclones. Dillon Gee cruised through the first five innings and he gave up just four hits with eight strikeouts. When he left the game, Brooklyn was up 1-0. Then the roof caved in on them as Stephen Clyne was hammered for three runs and William Morgan was hammered for four runs as a pitcher’s duel turned into a blowout really quick.
Jacob Eigsti went two for three with a walk in the 7-1 loss. Will Vogl was the other Cyclone hitter with two hits.
The Cyclones padded their first place lead with another win, this time behind the arm of Dillon Gee. The righthander improved to 1-0 on the season and he gave up one run on seven hits with four strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.
Christopher Fournier went three for four with two RBIs in the 8-1 win. Jason Jacobs went three for five and he scored two runs.
