Mike Nickeas drove home Enrique Cruz in the top of the eleventh inning to give the Mets the run they needed to top Harrisburg. Mark Kiger was the hitting star in the game though. He went four for five with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Robert Parnell kept the Mets in the game with a nice start. He gave up two runs on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings.
Enrique Cruz drove in three runs in Binghamton’s 9-4 win over the Defenders. Fernando Martinez also had a nice day at the plate. He went three for five with a double, a homerun and two runs scored.
Jose Sanchez picked up the win with five solid innings. He gave up one run on six hits with two strikeouts and the win improved his record to 1-2 on the season.
Miguel Negron provided plenty of offense in Binghamton’s 5-2 win over Trenton. He went two for five with a double and three RBIs. Enrique Cruz both scored a run and drove in one without getting a hit but he did pick up three walks.
Kevin Mulvey picked up his first win of the season in a solid start. He gave up two runs on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five innings.
