Well, it looks like St. Lucie blew their chance yesterday because Eric Brown was shelled as their season ended with a 13-2 loss to Brevard County. Brown gave up six runs in 2 1/3 innings but he had some help because the pen yielded seven runs as well.
Emmanuel Garcia was the hitting star in the loss. He had a team high three hits in the game. Nick Evans doubled, drew a walk, scored a run and drove in one.
St. Lucie lost 3-1 and the hitters never really got on track. Daniel Murphy had two of the Mets six hits and one of those two hits was a double.
A decent start by Eric Brown went to waste. He gave up three runs on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts in seven innings.
Eric Brown dropped to 3-3 in St. Lucie’s 4-2 loss to Clearwater. He gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Jamar Hill went two for four with a double and a run. Emmanuel Garcia singled twice and he drove in a run.

Jose Castro was the hitting star in the loss. He went three for four with a run and an RBI.
St. Lucie lost again although this game was pretty tight. Eric Brown threw six solid innings and he gave up just one run but Joseph Serfass gave up three runs in the ninth to lose it.
Sean Henry hit a solo homerun in the 4-3 loss. Dustin Martin doubled and scored a run.
Eric Brown got it done on the mound today for St. Lucie. He gave up just a single run on five hits with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Dustin Martin had a nice game at the plate. He went two for five with a double and two RBIs. Yasmil Bucce doubled, drove in two and scored twice.
