Gavin Dlouhy Throws Five Solid Innings In GCL Mets Loss

The GCL Mets lost to the GCL Nationals 3-2 and a solid start by Gavin Dlouhy went to waste.  He gave up one run on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five innings.  Rogers Figueroa gave up two runs in four innings of relief and he took the loss.

Moises Alou went two for three with a solo homerun in his rehab start.  Stefan Welch went two for four with two doubles and an RBI.

GCL Mets Blown Out In Rain Shortened Game

The GCL Mets lost a tough one to the GCL Dodgers 8-3 in a rain shortened, five inning game.  Omar Perez dropped to 0-2 on the season with a rough start.  He gave up five runs on four hits and two walks with one strikeout in 2 2/3 innings.

Bradley Hubbert hit a two run homer in the loss.  Ezequiel Carrera went two for three with a double.

GCL Mets Win In Ten Innings

The GCL Mets beat the GCL Marlins 5-4 in a ten inning game that saw a lot of action in the final frames.  The Mets extended their lead to two runs with one run in the ninth but the GCL Marlins scored two in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra frames.  Then in the top of the tenth, Gabriel Zavala doubled home Partick Maat to give the Mets their winning run.

Bradley Hubbert was one of the hitting stars in the game.  He had only one hit but he also drew a walk and his hit was a two run homer.

Raul Batis picked up the win and he improved to 2-0.  He actually gave up the two runs in the ninth but he got bailed out with the tenth inning run by the Mets.

Nathan Vineyard Has Rough Start In GCL Mets Loss

The GCL Mets lost to the GCL Cardinals 8-2 and it was Nathan Vineyard who took the loss.  He gave up five runs on five hits and one walk with five strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.  The loss dropped to 0-2 on the season.

Ricard Lucas was the hitting star in the loss.  He went two for five with a run.

GCL Mets Edge GCL Nationals In Ten Innings

Stefan Welch drove home the winning run in the top of the tenth inning with a sac. fly in the GCL Mets 5-4 win over the GCL Nationals.  Ernesto Gonzalez went three for five with a run while Welch finished the game with two RBIs.

Rhiner Cruz picked up the win with two shutout innings.  He gave up just one hit and he struck out three in the win.
