St. Lucie took a 1-0 lead in their best of three game series with Brevard County behind a solid outing by Jonathan Niese. He gave up just one hit with two walks and nine strikeouts in six shutout innings.
Nick Evans was one of the hitting stars in the win. He went two for four with two doubles, two runs and an RBI. Victor Mendez singled twice, drove in two and scored once.
Jonathan Niese improved to 8-5 on the season with a solid start in St. Lucie’s 3-2 win over Clearwater. He gave up two runs on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Sean Henry was the hitting star in the win. He went three for four with a double and a run.
Jonathan Niese fell to 7-5 on the season with a tough start in St. Lucie’s 8-7 loss to Tampa. He gave up five runs on ten hits and six walks in just five innings.
Daniel Murphy had a big day at the plate. He went two for three with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Sean Henry went two for five with a two run homer.
The Mets made three costly errors that led to eight unearned runs in a 12-3 blowout loss to Fort Myers. Jonathan Niese dropped to 6-4 on the season with the loss. He gave up seven runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.
Joshua Petersen went two for four with a triple, a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Sean Henry went four for five with a double.
Jonathan Niese improved to 6-3 on the season with a nice start in St. Lucie’s 3-1 win over Jupiter. He gave up just one unearned run on five hits with seven strikeouts in seven solid innings.
Dustin Martin singled and drove in two runs in the win. Jamar Hill went two for three with a double and a run.
The pitching wasn’t all that great, but St. Lucie got plenty of offense in their 15-10 win over Lakeland. Jose Valentin went one for three with a homerun, three RBIs and four runs. Nick Evans went four for six with two RBIs and two runs but just about everyone was a hitting star in this one.
Jonathan Niese picked up the win despite a pretty poor start. He gave up six runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
St. Lucie came from behind to beat Dunedin 3-2 and Ambiorix Concepcion led the way at the plate. He went two for four with a double and he drove two of the three Mets runs.
Jonathan Niese threw five solid frames and he gave up just one run in his start but he didn’t pick up the win. Brandon Nall improved to 1-0 and he struck out one in two shutout innings.
Jonathan Niese was hit hard in St. Lucie’s loss to Clearwater. He gave up five runs on seven hits with three strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings. The loss drops his record to 3-3 on the season.
Jamar Hill was the hitting star in the 9-6 loss. He went two for four with a solo homerun and two runs scored.
Jonathan Niese got it done on the mound for St. Lucie in their 5-2 win. He gave up just one run on six hits and he struck out four.

St. Lucie didn’t score a single run in their 7-0 loss to Jupiter. Jamar Hill picked up two of the Mets’ four hits and I guess he could be considered the hitting star.

St. Lucie scored four runs in the fifth inning to take a 5-1 lead but the pen gave up four late runs and the end result was a 6-5 loss to Palm Beach. Jonathan Niese had a pretty good start go to waste and he gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Eddie Camacho took the loss and he gave up three innings in the final two frames and he struck out four.
Dustin Martin homered and drove in two runs in the loss. Rafael Arroyo doubled twice and drove in two runs while Nick Evans went three for five with a double and two runs.

St. Lucie topped Vero Beach and the pitchers really got it done. Jonathan Niese threw five shutout innings and gave up just one hit and for his troubles, he didn’t even pick up the win. Jacob Ruckle picked up the win with three shutout frames.
