Both Dunedin and St. Lucie had a late flurry of runs but it was St. Lucie who came out on top 6-5. Jose Castro went three for four with a double, a run and an RBI. Dustin Martin went two for four with a two run homer.
Tobi Stoner had a nice start despite not getting the win. He gave up two runs (both unearned) on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts in five innings. Ricardo Morales gave up three runs in three innings and he picked up the win.
Brandon Nall gave up three tenth inning runs and he ruined Tobi Stoner’s St. Lucie debut. Stoner continued his solid season with a nice start. He gave up just two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts in seven innings.
Jose Castro was the hitting star in the 5-2 loss. He went three for four with an RBI.
Jacob Ruckle threw six great innings of shutout relief and he picked up the win in St. Lucie’s 8-0 win over Lakeland. He gave up just one hit and walk with three strikeouts and the win pushes his record to 3-3 on the season.
Dustin Martin went two for five with a double, three RBIs and two runs. Jose Castro went three for five with a double, an RBI and three RBIs.
Waner Mateo lost his first game of the season in a tough relief appearance for St. Lucie in their 9-7 loss to Vero Beach. He gave up five runs (three earned) on five hits with two strikeouts in just two innings.

Three different St. Lucie hitters drove in three runs in the Mets 12-9 win over Clearwater. Sean Henry, Jose Castro and Ryan Coultas all pushed three runs across the plate.
Alexis Beras picked up the win with two shutout innings. He gave up just one hit and a walk with three strikeouts.
Eric Brown had a tough start in St. Lucie’s 8-7 loss to Brevard County. He gave up six runs on ten hits and two walks with a strikeout in 4 1/3 innings.

Deolis Guerra picked up his first win of the season with six shutout innings in his start. He gave up two hits and he struck out four and his record now stands at 1-2.
Daniel Murphy had a nice day at the plate in the 5-2 win. He went three for five with a double and three RBIs. Emmanuel Garcia and Jose Castro each finished with two runs.
Robert Parnell had a fantastic start today against Daytona. He gave up two hits and two walks with an impressive nine strikeouts in six innings. It was his first win of the season and he improved to 1-1.
Jose Castro had a huge day at the plate. He went four for four and he drove in one of the runs with a solo homerun in the 2-0 win.
Dustin Martin had a nice game at the plate in St. Lucie’s 5-3 win over Vero Beach. He went three for four with a double and an RBI in the win. Jose Castro doubled and scored a run.
Robert Parnell was bounced after four innings and he didn’t pick up a decision in his start. The pen threw five shutout innings though and Nick Abel picked up the win with two shutout frames.
