Sand Gnats Lose Two Games to RiverDogs In Doublheader Sweep

by @ 11:31 pm. Filed under D.J. Wabick, Joe Holden, Jeremy Mizell, Savannah Sand Gnats - July 2007, Josh Stinson

The Sand Gnats had a tough time and scored a collective two runs in their pair of losses to the RiverDogs.  In the first game, a nice start by Jeremy Mizell went to waste and he fell to 3-9 despite the effort.  He gave up two runs on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.  D.J. Wabick provided the lone run in the 2-1 loss with a solo homerun.

In the second game, the Sand Gnats once again got just the one run, once again off a solo homerun.  Joe Holden provided the long ball and he finished the game two for four.  Josh Stinson took the loss and he fell to 3-9 on the season.  He gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks with one strikeout in 4 1/3 innings.
