Kingsport’s hitters had a tough time at the plate in their 7-1 loss to Bluefield.  Daniel Stegall doubled and he scored the only run for the Mets in the loss.

Manuel Olivares took the loss and he fell to 1-2 on the season.  He gave up four runs on four hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in five innings of work.

Marcos Tabata dropped to 0-1 on the season with a tough start in Kingsport’s 8-3 loss to Bluefield.  He gave up four runs on six hits with three strikeouts in three innings of work.

Brandon Richey went two for three in the loss.  Daniel Stegall and Michael Parker both singled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Bradley Burns improved to 2-0 with three innings of shutout relief in the Mets 8-1 win over Bristol.  He gave up just one hit and two walks with two strikeouts.

Nicholas Giarraputo was the hitting star in the win.  He went two for four with two doubles, two RBIs and a run.
