A pretty good start by Mike Pelfrey went to waste in the Zephyr’s 2-1 loss to Omaha. He gave up one run on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Mike DeFelice provided the limited amount of offense. He went yard in the second inning with a solo shot.
Jason Vargas was hit hard and he took the loss in a 10-1 beatdown. He gave up six runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks with one strikeout four innings.
Mike DeFelice drove in the only run for the Zephyrs. Fernando Tatis tripled and he scored the only run.
Mike DeFelice had one of the Zephyrs’ three hits and he drove in the lone run in a 5-1 loss. Chip Ambres had the only extra base hit of the game and he scored the lone run.
Philip Humber had a tough start and he took the loss. He gave up five runs on six hits and three walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
A late surge by Memphis made this one close but the Zephyrs walked away with a 7-6 win. Mike DeFelice was the hitting star in the win. He went three for four with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Chan Ho Park picked up the win with six solid innings. He gave up three runs on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts.
The Zephyrs got it done at the plate today as they blew out Nashville 10-2. Mike DeFelice went three for four with two double, three RBIs and two runs. Andy Tracy hit a three run homer (his fifth of the year) and Ruben Gotay and Anderson Hernandez also went yard in the win.
Philip Humber picked up the win in a solid start. He gave up just one run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings.
Adam Bostick took it on the chin and he dropped to 1-1 on the season. He gave up five runs on three hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Mike DeFelice was the only New Orleans player to pick up two hits in the 10-3 loss. He went two for four and he scored a run.
It was actually nice to get this one over early as the Zephyrs were pounded for 14 runs on 16 hits in just seven innings. Philip Humber was shelled for four runs in three innings and Steve Schmoll was tagged for six runs in 2 1/3 innings.
Mike DeFelice provided most of the Zephyrs offense with a two run homerun in the 14-3 loss. He was also the only Zephyr with two hits.
