Mike Nickeas drove home Enrique Cruz in the top of the eleventh inning to give the Mets the run they needed to top Harrisburg. Mark Kiger was the hitting star in the game though. He went four for five with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Robert Parnell kept the Mets in the game with a nice start. He gave up two runs on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings.
Binghamton got pretty much no offense in their 7-0 loss. Mike Nickeas had both Mets’ hits, one of which was a double.
Michael Devaney took the loss despite giving up just one run in the first inning. Ricardo Morales gave up three runs in 2 2/3 innings.
Binghamton scored five runs in the final four innings to beat the Defenders 6-5. Caleb Stewart went two for three and he drove in a run while Mike Nickeas went three for four with two runs scored.
Tim McNab improved to 4-0 on the season with two shutout innings of relief. Jose Sanchez gave up five runs (two earned) in 6 1/3 innings.
