Robert Paulk gave up the losing run in the bottom of the seventh and he took the loss in Binghamton’s 3-2 loss to Reading. Michael Devaney left the game with things tied up and he gave up two runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings in his start.
Devaney helped out his own cause as he went two for two with an RBI. He was the only Met hitter with two hits in the game.
Caleb Stewart had a big day at the plate in Binghamton’s 7-5 win over the Fisher Cats. He went three for four with a homerun, two RBIs and three runs. Jose A. Reyes also contributed with a double and two RBIs.
Robert Paulk picked up the win but he was more in the right place at the right time because he was hit hard. He gave up two runs on seven hits and in 2 2/3 innings of relief.
