Jonathan Niese improved to 8-5 on the season with a solid start in St. Lucie’s 3-2 win over Clearwater. He gave up two runs on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Sean Henry was the hitting star in the win. He went three for four with a double and a run.
Jonathan Niese fell to 7-5 on the season with a tough start in St. Lucie’s 8-7 loss to Tampa. He gave up five runs on ten hits and six walks in just five innings.
Daniel Murphy had a big day at the plate. He went two for three with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Sean Henry went two for five with a two run homer.

Dustin Martin singled home Jamar Hill in the bottom of the ninth to win it for St. Lucie in their 5-4 win over Vero Beach. To get to that point, they got a couple of big homeruns. Both Joshua Petersen and Sean Henry went yard and each had nice days that plate in the win.
Brandon Nall picked up the win with two shutout innings of relief. He struck out two and gave up two hits.
St. Lucie had plenty of hitting stars in their 11-3 win over Dunedin but Sean Henry led the way. He went three for six with two triples, four RBIs and a run. Daniel Murphy went two for six with two doubles and three RBIs.
Robert Parnall picked up the win with a nice start. He improved to 3-2 and he gave up one run on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
Three different St. Lucie hitters drove in three runs in the Mets 12-9 win over Clearwater. Sean Henry, Jose Castro and Ryan Coultas all pushed three runs across the plate.
Alexis Beras picked up the win with two shutout innings. He gave up just one hit and a walk with three strikeouts.
All three St. Lucie pitchers were hit hard in their 10-3 loss to Brevard County. Jacob Ruckle took the loss and he dropped to 2-2 on the season. He gave up four runs on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.
Sean Henry drove in two runs in the loss. Dustin Martin went two for five and he doubled.
St. Lucie loss their suspended game today against Palm Beach 1-0. Jeramy Simmons took the loss despite a solid outing. He gave up a run on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in four innings.

A pretty good start by Robert Parnell went to waste with some pretty poor pitching out of the pen. Parnell gave up one unearned run on two hits and two walks with six strikeouts in five innings of work. German Marte gave up the lead with two runs eighth and then Nick Abel lost it in the tenth.

St. Lucie lost again although this game was pretty tight. Eric Brown threw six solid innings and he gave up just one run but Joseph Serfass gave up three runs in the ninth to lose it.

Vero Beach had just scored three runs in the top of the eighth to tie the game 7-7 when Sean Henry came up big with the only St. Lucie homerun of the game. It was only a solo shot, but it ended up being the difference in the win. Dustin Martin also had a nice game at the plate. He went two for five with a triple, two RBIs and a run.
Mike Pelfrey picked up the win with six solid innings. He gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts.
