Jonathan Niese improved to 8-5 on the season with a solid start in St. Lucie’s 3-2 win over Clearwater.  He gave up two runs on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Sean Henry was the hitting star in the win.  He went three for four with a double and a run.

St. Lucie lost their third straight game in an 8-4 loss to Clearwater.  Joshua Petersen belted a three run homer Nick Evans hit a solo shot and scored two runs to provide the Mets with their four runs.

Jacob Ruckle dropped to 4-6 on the season with a rough start.  He gave up four runs on nine hits with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Jonathan Niese fell to 7-5 on the season with a tough start in St. Lucie’s 8-7 loss to Tampa.  He gave up five runs on ten hits and six walks in just five innings.

Daniel Murphy had a big day at the plate.  He went two for three with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.  Sean Henry went two for five with a two run homer.
