The Mets got two big homeruns in the ninth inning to beat the Defenders 5-3. Wilson Batista hit a solo homerun to make it a one run game and then Mark Kiger hit a three run homer to give the Mets what they needed to win it.
Marcelo Perez picked up the win with a shutout inning of relief. The offense bailed out Robert Parnell, who had a mediocre start.
One run on six hits were all Binghamton managed in a 3-1 loss to Erie. Corey Coles went three for four and Wilson Batista drove in the only run for the Mets.
A pretty nice start by Marcos Cavajal went to waste. He gave up one run on three hits and one walk with eight strikeouts in six innings. Joseph Serfass dropped to 3-1 and he gave up two runs in his two relief innings.
Kevin Mulvey improved to 4-4 on the season with a nice start in the Mets 5-2 win over the Fisher Cats. He gave up two runs on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six solid innings.
Caleb Stewart was the hitting star in the win. He went two for four with two doubles and two runs scored. Wilson Batista also had a nice game and he went two for four with a run.
