Fernando Martinez Homers, Drives in Three In Binghamton Loss

by @ 11:10 pm. Filed under Fernando Martinez, Robert Parnell, Mark Kiger, Joseph Serfass, Binghamton Mets - June 2007

It’s hard to believe this game was tied 2-2 through six innings.  Then all hell broke loose and the two teams combined to scored ten runs in the final three frames with Reading coming out on top 8-6.

Fernando Martinez went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs.  Mark Kiger went one for three with a double, a walk and two runs.

Robert Parnell took the loss but he wasn’t horrible.  He gave up three runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts in five innings.  Joseph Serfass was shelled and he gave up five runs in two innings.
