Sand Gnats Drop Two To Rome In Doubleheader Sweep

by @ 1:36 pm. Filed under Joshua Stinson, Juan Lagares, Timothy Stonrach, Joshua Thole, Savannah Sand Gnats - June 2007

The Sand Gnats lost two games in one day with pretty much a complete lack of offense in either game.  In the first game, the Sand Gnats were shutout 5-0.  Josh Stinson gave up five runs in five innings and he took the loss.  Juan Lagares had two of the Sand Gnats five hits.

The Sand Gnats actually scored in the second game and the pitching was better.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.  A nice start by Tim Stonrach went to waste in the 2-1 loss. He gave up one run on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts in seven solid innings.  Josh Thole singled twice and he drove in the only run in either game for the Sand Gnats.
