Sand Gnats Held to Two Runs in Loss to Savannah

by @ 2:52 pm. Filed under Savannah Sand Gnats - April 2007, Tobi Stoner, Joshua Thole, Jonathan Castillo

Tobi Stoner dropped to 0-3 in a loss to Savannah  but this one was a tough one because outside of a tough first inning, he threw a nice game.  While he was credited with three runs, the final run that put Savannah ahead came off a double by Jonathan Castillo that he inherited from Stoner so the pen deserves some credit in the loss as well.  Stoner did strike out four in 4 1/3 innings and from the end of the first inning on, he retired eleven consecutive batters.

Josh Thole was the only Sand Gnat with two hits in the game.  He went two for four with two doubles and he scored one of the two runs.
